CPI launches `save capital' campaign

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM OCT. 13. The Communist Party of India (CPI), on Saturday, launched a mass signature campaign, people's appeal, as part of its `save capital city' programme.

In addition to booths to be set up at important junctions, party squads will visit houses to collect signatures for the campaign, `People's Appeal.' The city committee secretary, Kadakampally Mohanan, inaugurated the booth in the Peroorkada area. P.S.Naidu, Ajayan Kudapanakunnu and D.Sukumaran spoke.

The former AIR director, M. K. Sivasankara Pillai, inaugurated the campaign at Kudapanakunnu. The actor, Kollam Thulasi, inaugurated the programme at Valiyasala, and M. C. Babu inaugurated it at Chakkai.
