Sony targets higher turnover

CHENNAI OCT. 4. Sony India is targeting Rs. 750 crore turnover during the current financial year and of this 50 to 55 per cent would come from colour television segment, 15 per cent from hifi audio systems and the balance from other items, according to the Managing Director, Teruo Ishii.

Addressing a press conference here today, Mr. Ishii said Sony had achieved Rs. 600 crore turnover last fiscal. To achieve, the current year's target, the company would undertake aggressive marketing strategy. He said Sony had launched the new car audio range with varied options. New models were planned in the CTV segment and DVD hifi range.
