ABB wins Rs. 235 cr. Vizag project

BANGALORE: ABB has been awarded a Rs. 235 crore contract by Powergrid Corporation of India to design, build and install a new power transmission system at Visakhapatnam. The Vizag II High Voltage Direct Current (HVDC) back-to- back East-South Interconnector system to be installed besides an existing HVDC station will increase capacity for high-voltage power exchange between the two power grids by 500 MW.
