Vallathol award for Leelavathi

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM SEPT 24. M. Leelavathi, critic, has been selected for this year's Vallathol award for literature, according to a release here today.

The award is being given in recognition of Dr. Leelavathi's valuable contributions to the fields of literary criticism and prose. The award, which carries a cash prize of Rs.1.1 lakhs and a citational plaque, would be presented by the Chief Minister, A.K. Antony, on the 124th birth anniversary of Mahakavi Vallathol on October 16.
