Farakka Express engine derails

ROHTAK (HARYANA) SEPT. 20. The engine of the Farakka Express derailed tonight on the Rohtak-Bhiwani section after a tractor rammed it at an unmanned level crossing, Railway sources said.

All passengers were safe, they said, adding the derailment occurred between Kalanaur and Lahli railway stations.

The tractor driver was seriously injured and admitted to the PGI hospital here.

The 3414 Bhiwani-Malda Express was being sent to its destination via Rewari.

Traffic was disrupted following the derailment and was likely to be restored tomorrow morning. — PTI
