``KEO is a satellite that shall take flight at the end of 2003, laden with precious tokens destined for our future generations. It shall return to its native soil after a long journey of 50,000 years in space. Its treasured gift will be the `present' from people of today to the people of tomorrow'', a release from Allaince Francaise said. The AF is organising two conferences in the city, at Vidyaranya High School on September 14 and at Tagore Auditorium,OU, on September 16 where the creator of KEO, Jean-Mark Philippe, would introduce the project to the people. KEO elected as project of the 21st century by Unesco, was inviting each person on earth to pen down his or her message for posterity and send it to KEO, to form a part of the fresco of messages carried by the satellite. All the messages, after being made anonymous would be shared amongst every body once KEO was launched into space. "Thus a strong bond of humanity between diverse cultures and traditions that exist on our planet can be created''. KEO is coming to India with support of the French Embassy in India, network of AF and Hutchinson India to urge every Indian to write down his or her message and represent his or her country and culture today and centuries later, the release says.
