Rs. 3-lakh cash award for Mithali

HYDERABAD Aug. 22. The Chief Minister, N. Chandrababu Naidu, on Thursday congratulated the woman cricketer, Mithali Raj, who scored a world record breaking century recently and announced a cash award of Rs. 3 lakhs for her.

The 19-year-old city-based cricketer called on Mr. Naidu at his chambers in the Secretariat. She was accompanied by the Sports Minister, P. Ramulu, the SAAP MD, L.V. Subrahmanyam, and others, a press release from the Chief Minister's office said.
