dated August 23, 1952: Discovery of New Comet

A faint new comet without a tail had been discovered in the constellation Cepheus. The California Institute of Technology said the discovery was made by the 48-inch Schmidt telescope on Palomar Mountain and was the sixth since 1949 under a survey being made by Palomarian Observatory.
