Sidhu wants to resign

New Delhi Aug. 12. The Supreme Court today issued a notice to the Punjab Public Service Commission Chairman, Ravinder Pal Singh Sidhu, on a Presidential reference seeking his removal from the constitutional post due to his alleged involvement in an appointment scam.

But before the Bench issued the notice after hearing the Solicitor General, Harish Salve, counsel for Sidhu, stated he wanted to resign on his own today itself to ``save the dignity of the constitutional post''.
