Haren Pandya meets Naidu

NEW DELHI AUG. 12. The Bharatiya Janata Party today claimed the ``confusion'' within the Gujarat unit of the party has blown over with the former State Minister, Haren Pandya, who resigned last week, meeting the central leadership and asserting that he was a disciplined soldier of the party.

In his meetings with the BJP president, Venkaiah Naidu, and other senior leaders at the party headquarters here, Mr. Pandya who resigned following ``differences with the Chief Minister, Narendra Modi,'' apprised the leadership of his position and the factors that led him to take the extreme step, the party spokesman, Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi, said.

During his meeting with Mr. Naidu, the Gujarat leader asserted that he was a ``disciplined soldier of the party and will work with full dedication for its success in the coming elections.''
