Police have identified the dead woman as Nandakumari (21), wife of Gangadhara of Hongasandra. Police said the couple was married three months ago and Nandakumari was staying with her husband at Hongasandra since a month. She committed suicide by hanging herself to the ceiling of the house, police said. According to police, in her suicide note, Nandakumari stated that she was committing suicide because of harassment for dowry by her husband. She was a native of Periyapatna in Mysore District. Gangadhar was demanding Rs. 25,000 dowry apart from what had been given during the marriage.
