``The issue is before the Cabinet and it will come up at the next meeting tomorrow'' he said. On the possibility of a decision , Mr. Fernandes said it was upto the Cabinet. The bifurcation issue had snow-balled into a major political controversy with political parties in West Bengal, including the NDA ally, Trinamool Congress, strongly opposing the move and parties in Bihar favouring it. It was decided at the meeting convened by the Prime Minister, Atal Behari Vajpayee, last Saturday in which Mr. Advani, Mr. Fernandes and Mr. Kumar were present, that the matter would be referred back to the Cabinet, since the bifurcation proposal had been cleared earlier by it.
