SBI Life to market policies in West Asia

BANGALORE: SBI Life Insurance, a joint venture between State Bank of India and Cardif SA of France, will sell its policies in West Asia, according to R. Krishnamurthy, Managing Director and CEO of the company. Mr. Krishnamurthy launched the company's Super Suraksha, a group insurance scheme, for SBI depositors. The scheme offers cover for risk of death and a personal accident cover. During the first quarter of the current year, it had sold 2,050 policies for a premium income of Rs. 14.50 crores.
