Airport office opened

CHENNAI July 11. The Chennai Airport Director, R.J. Treasuryvala, formally declared open the airport office of the Kuwait Airways at the Anna International Terminal today.

The Kuwait Airways Sales Manager-Passenger, Tamil Nadu, Shyam Prasad Kallat, said the airline was now operating four Airbus-310 flights a week to Kuwait with onward connections to Europe and the United States. These is in addition to tri-weekly services to Kochi, four flights out of Thiruvananthapuram and a daily service out of Mumbai and New Delhi.

Senior officials of Air India, ground handler for the Kuwait Airways in Chennai, and Ramesh Pillai, manager-cargo, Mukund Murthy, airport manager of the airline, participated.
