By Our Special Correspondent

NEW DELHI JULY 11. LML plans to introduce 4-stroke gearless scooters besides adding motorcycles in the 125cc and other engine displacements along with an entry into the basic commuter segment.

Stating this during the launch of its latest 4-stroke motorcycle, LML Freedom, in the deluxe segments, Deepak Singhania, Managing Director, claimed that the company was confident of extending the product coverage to around 89 per cent of the market by 2003.

Reiterating the company's objective of consolidating and improving its position as a significant player in all meaningful segments of the two-wheeler industry, he said there were indications that the industry would continue to grow and was expected to reach around 7 million units in 2005 from 4.3 million per annum.
