Four new trains from Bangalore soon

Bangalore June 28 . The Southern Railway will introduce four new trains from Bangalore from July. They will meet the needs of travellers going to and from North Karnataka, Gujarat, Chattisgarh, and Kerala.

The Bangalore-Hubli Janshatabdi Daily Express (train no. 2079/2080) will leave Bangalore at 6 a.m. and reach Hubli at 1.25 p.m. via Tumkur, Arsikere, and Harihar. In the return direction, the train will leave Hubli at 2 p.m. and reach Bangalore at 9.30 p.m. The date of introduction will be announced later.

The inaugural service of the Bangalore-Gandhidam Weekly Express (train no. 6506/6505) will be on July 11. The train will leave Bangalore at 9.15 p.m. on Saturday and reach Gandhidam at 2.25 p.m. on Monday via Tumkur, Arsikere, Harihar, Haveri, and Hubli. In the return direction, the train will leave Gandhidam at 8.20 a.m. on Tuesday and reach Bangalore at 4 a.m. on Thursday. Regular services will start from Bangalore on July 20 and from Gandhidam on July 16. The train will have three two-tier AC coaches, 12 sleeper class coaches, three general second-class coaches, and two general second class-cum-luggage vans.

The Yeshwantpur-Durg Weekly Express (train no. 6511/6512) will leave Bangalore at 11.45 p.m. on Tuesday and reach Durg at 4.45 a.m. on Thursday. In the return direction, the train will leave Durg at 10.15 p.m. on Thursday and reach Bangalore at 4 a.m. on Saturday. The train will run via Dharmavaram. The date of introduction will be announced later. The train will have one two-tier AC coach, seven sleeper class coaches, four general second-class coaches and two general second- class-cum-luggage vans.

The Yeshwantpur-Kannur Weekly Express (train no. 6527/6528) will leave Bangalore at 10 p.m. on Friday and reach Kannur at 12.40 p.m. on Saturday. In the return direction, the train will leave Kannur at 5.45 p.m. on Sunday and reach Bangalore at 8.30 a.m. on Monday. The train will run via Hosur, Dharmapuri, Salem, Erode, Palghat, Shoranur, Tirur, and Calicut. The date of introduction will be announced later.

The Ajmer-Bangalore Express (train no. 6509/6510), now running weekly, will become bi-weekly, leaving here on Tuesday and Thursday and from Ajmer on Sunday and Friday.

The Bangalore-Miraj Rani Chennamma Express (train no. 6589/6590) will be extended up to Kolhapur. The train will leave Bangalore at 9 p.m. and reach Kolhapur at 1.25 p.m. It will leave Kolhapur at 2.25 p.m. and reach Bangalore at 7.40 p.m.

The Bangalore-Bangarpet Express (train no. 6519/6520) will be extended up to Jolarpet. The train will leave Bangalore at 5.30 p.m. and reach Jolarpet at 9.05 p.m. It will leave Jolarpet at 4.30 p.m. and reach Bangalore at 8.15 a.m.

The Kacheguda-Dharmavaram Express (train no. 7603/7604) will be extended up to Sri Satya Sai Prasanthi Nilayam.

In other changes in schedule, the Mysore-Tirupati Fast Passenger (train no. 213/214) will now stop at Bisanattam. The Chennai-Bangalore Express (train no. 6023/6024) will not stop at Patchur, and the Tanjore-Mysore Express (train no. 6831/6832) will not stop at Maddur.

The Hubli-Bangalore Hampi Express (train no. 6591/6592) will terminate and originate from Yeshwantpur from July 15. The Bangalore-Guntur Passenger (train no. 433/434) will terminate and originate from Yeshwantpur from July 1.

The following trains will be diverted from Penukonda to run via Sri Satya Sai Prasanti Nilayam and Dharmavaram from a date to be notified later: the Bangalore-Nizamuddin Rajdhani Express (train no. 2429/2430), the Mumbai-Bangalore Udyan Express (train no. 6529/6530), the Visakhaptnam-Bangalore Prasanti Express (train no. 8563/8564), and the Yeshwantpur-Guntur Passenger (train no. 433/434).

The following trains have been renumbered: the Bangalore-Chennai-Bangalore Mail (existing no. 6008/6007, new no. 6518/6517); the Tanjore-Mysore-Tanjore Express (existing no. 6231/6232, new no. 6831/6832); the Kacheguda-Bangalore-Kacheguda Express (existing no. 7085/7086, new no. 7685/7686).
