Sir, Remand prisoners are frequently taken from jail to court which causes a lot of hardship to many people the time taken for transporting them to the court and back, the risk to their safety, the time spent in waiting, providing them lunch if it becomes necessary and the risk taken by the escort police, etc. Why not a mobile court with a magistrate having proper jurisdiction be parked on the jail premises for a few hours daily to dispose of the remand cases according to law? This is easy and quick and reduces risk considerably. S.T. Vanchinathan, Chennai
