Reverse for Humpy

HYDERABAD JUNE 5. Koneru Humpy suffered a reverse in the fourth round game against IM Blauert Jeorg of Germany to be content with two points from four games in the First Saturday Grandmasters chess tournament being held in Budapest, according to information received here today.

Playing black, Humpy was outwitted in 32 moves in Caro-Kann, Panov-Botvinnik attack. After the game went on bookish lines till the 15th when the Indian girl made a doubtful move — Bf6. This was duly exploited by her opponent to force a comparatively quick win.

Another Indian in the fray, Tejas Bakre, lost his fourth round game against GM Vajda Levente of Romania in Alapin Variation. Vajda is leading the table with four points from four games.
