The militants fighting in Kashmir now have no link with their base camps or with other ultras in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir as Pakistan has blocked the wireless system being used by them, Nawai Waqt reported. Claiming that the Government has begun taking practical measures to stop ``jehad'' in Kashmir, it said the blockage of the system has ended the ``link'' between Kashmir and PoK. According to the newspaper, the militant outfits strongly protested the move demanding early resumption of the network. Even Hurriyat leaders from both the sides had been using this link to be in touch with each other. Militants had developed this wireless system on their own by installing a number of boosters on high peaks in Kashmir. They had obtained the capability of the system during the Afghan war and later started using it in Kashmir, it said. PTI
