Former Assam DSP fisted to death

GUWAHATI MAY 13. A former Deputy Superintendent of Police, Debendranath Deka, died after he was allegedly fisted by a police officer who was interrogating his son for rash driving in Kamrup district today.

Officer-in-charge of Gauripur outpost, M.Kakati, had taken Mr. Deka's son to the station after the latter nearly ran him down. He was interrogating him, when Mr. Deka intervened. Mr. Kakati allegedly punched the former DSP and he died on way to hospital.— PTI
