JB Chem pays 50 p.c. final

CHENNAI MAY 8. J. B. Chemicals and Pharmaceuticals (JBCPL), the flagship of the Unique Group of Companies, has reported a 16.82 per cent increase in its total income to Rs. 287.45 crores from Rs. 246.07 crores and 16.2 per cent in sales to Rs. 276.02 crores from 237.53 crores in the previous year.

The board of directors has recommended a final dividend of Rs. 5 (50 per cent) per equity share, including jubilee dividend of Rs. 1.50 (15 per cent) per equity share subject to deduction of tax at source.

The gross profit has moved up by 31.2 per cent to Rs. 60.83 crores from Rs. 46.37 crores. The net profit has risen by 34.65 per cent to Rs. 42.05 crores from Rs. 31.23 crores.
