Ramachandran, II Metropolitan Magistrate, found Shankar's brother, Mohan, Selva alias Selvaraj and the jail warders, Kannan, Balan and Rahim Khan, guilty of offences under Section 120-B (criminal conspiracy), 224 (resistance or obstruction by a person to his lawful apprehension) and 223 (escape from confinement or custody negligently suffered by public servant) IPC and sentenced them to undergo six months RI for each offence. The sentences would run concurrently, says a CB-CID release.
