The DIG directed all police stations under his control to immediately return cycles involved in accident cases to their owners. Photographs of the scene of the accident, opinion of the scientific expert on the damages caused to the cycle and other evidence required for the court proceedings would be preserved and the cycle returned, the DIG said. ``There are cases when the cycle has been the only source of transport for the victim and it has been kept in station for no fault of him. Some cycles have been in the stations for over three years'', the DIG said.
