Rajinder Singh is India coach

NEW DELHI APRIL 20. Rajinder Singh, the successful coach of the gold winning Indian hockey team in the junior World Cup, has been chosen to guide the fortunes of the Indian team on its tour of Australia.

In a press release here on Saturday, the Indian Hockey Federation (IHF) announced a list of 30 probables and stated that a coaching camp would be held here from April 26.

The probables:

Goalkeepers: Bharat Chhetri, Devesh Chauhan, Shanmugham Sundaram, Kamaldeep Singh and Manpreet Singh; Fullbacks: Dilip Tirkey, Kanwalpreet Singh, Jugraj Singh, Khalco, Dinesh Nayak and Ronald Kiran; Halfbacks: Ignace Tirkey, Prabhdeep Singh, Vikram Pillay, Arun Rawat, Sunil Yadav, Prabodh Tirkey, Bimal Lakra and Viren Rasquinha; Forwards: Tejbir Singh, Iqbal Singh, Anup Anthony, Ajinder Pal Singh, Gagan Ajit Singh, Daljit Singh Dhillon, Sameer Dad, Baljeet Singh Chandi, Prabhjot Singh, Deepak Thakur and Sunil Ekka; Chief Coach: Rajinder Singh; Coaches: N.S. Sodhi and A.E. Brient; Trainer: Sampath Kumar.
