Discord in Nyas

LUCKNOW APRIL 12. One of the trustees of the Ram Janmabhoomi Nyas, Mahant Dharam Das, today said he had moved the Allahabad High Court against the leaders of the Nyas, who, he alleged, had politicised the movement for the construction of the Ram Temple at Ayodhya.

The Mahant said he had moved an application in the Lucknow bench of the Court for the removal of the Vishwa Hindu Parishad leaders, Ashok Singhal, Vishnu Hari Dalmiya and Mahant Paramhans Ramchandra Das, from the panel of trustees of the Nyas. He contended that all the three had failed to perform their duties as per the requirement of the trust. They had been asked for an explanation. The Mahant told reporters here that a new trust named the "Vishwa Dharam Raksha Parishad'' had been constitute, a parallel of the Ram Janmabhoomi Trust, representing religious leaders from all sections of the society.
