Gautam Thapar on Asahi India board

NEW DELHI: Asahi Safety Glass has announced the appointment of Gautam Thapar on its board. Mr. Thapar, vice-chairman and managing director of Ballarpur Industries, was involved with Float Glass India (FGI) which was recently taken over by Asahi on way to becoming the country's largest glass entity. Mr. Thapar will head the remuneration committee which has been set up in accordance with corporate governance guidelines that Asahi India claims to be in the process of implementing.
