Table Tennis
NEW DELHI, FEB. 28. Anirban Tarafdar of Tripura scraped past Food Corporation of India's Harsh Chopra 4-11, 11-6, 5-11, 11-8, 14-12 to qualify for the main draw in the men's section of the 63rd National and inter-State table tennis championship at the NDMC Indoor Stadium here on Thursday. Tarafdar led 10-7 in the decider before Harsh worked his way back with three winners. After saving his fourth match point with a forehand winner, Harsh surged ahead for a 13-12 lead. But Tarafdar managed to pull it off by forcing errors from his experienced opponent. Harsh, who managed four successive winners from 4-4 in the first game, paid for his inconsistency.
