Meet on Parkinson's disease

CHENNAI, FEB. 2. A three-day international workshop on Parkinson's disease and other movement disorders is to be held here from February 17. It is being organised by the Neurosciences India Group and hosted by the T.S. Srinivasan Department of Clinical Neurology and Research, Public Health Centre, along with the Madras Institute of Neurology.

The American neurologist, Stanley Fahn, from the Columbia University and Presbyterian Hospital, New York, who will be here for the conference, will also deliver the 22nd annual T.S. Srinivasan Oration on February 16. The theme will be `Is there a cure for Parkinson's disease?'

At the workshop, many aspects of Parkinson's disease and allied disorders will be discussed with experts from the U.K., the U.S., Canada, France, Spain and Singapore, besides those from all over India, according to Krishnamoorthy Srinivas, chairman of the Neurology Group at the Public Health Centre.
