NEW DELHI, FEB. 2. The Dubai-based underworld don, Dawood Ibrahim, and his henchman, Chhota Shakeel, are alleged to have hatched a conspiracy to assassinate the Union Home Minister, L.K. Advani, the private television network, Aaj Tak, said here today.

Chhota Shakeel had hired a hoodlum lying low for sometime to kill Mr. Advani, the network, quoting an Intelligence report, said.

Police have arrested six persons after nabbing Akbar from Bangalore who spilled the beans on Shakeel's `plot'. - PTI
