No stopping Arun Kumar and Karnataka
VISAKHAPATNAM, JAN. 5. Karnataka took another giant step to retaining the Subbiah Pillai Trophy, registering its third win in as many matches, beating Kerala by seven wickets at the Railway Stadium here on Saturday. It secured its second bonus point to take its tally to 14 points.
The target of 225 was achieved in 34 overs as Arun Kumar (74, 70b, 4x6, 10x4) and Aditya Mishra (84, 1x6, 14x4) put on 142 for the first wicket in just 20.5 overs.
Earlier, Kerala was propped up by Tanveer Jabbar's unbeaten 91 (87b, 1x6, 9x4).
