Interact club opened for students

PONDICHERRY, NOV. 28. The Tourism and Education Minister, Mr. K. Lakshminarayanan, today said that schools which promote the talents and skills of students would be actively encouraged by the Administration.

Inaugurating an Interact Club sponsored by the Rotary Club (Cosmos) in Petit Seminaire Higher Secondary School, he said that it was a good indication that the youth were being exposed to do social service and partake with the people in various benefits they had obtained from the society. The club was basically meant to develop leadership qualities among the youth.

Rev Fr. Domnic Rozario, Principal, who welcomed, said the institution was now achieving a milestone by opening the interact club. The youth had broader opportunities to contribute to the development of the society.

Mr. Sampathraj Jain, president of the Rotary Club (Cosmos), explained the development of Rotary movement. Mr. Mani, coordinator of the Interact club and a staff of the school, referred to the utility of having outlets for the students.
