Robber-gang strikes at Villivakkam

CHENNAI, NOV. 28. A four-member gang robbed a person of Rs. 1.8
lakhs at Villivakkam on Wednesday evening.
According to police, a businessman from Purasawalkam
Mr.Jeyachandran had given the money to an associate Mr.Lakshmanan
for purchasing eggs from Namakkal.When the lorry halted near
Villivakkam cemetery today evening, the gang reached there in two
vehicles and demanded the money. The gang attacked the lorry
cleaner Mr.Muthiah when he resisted and escaped with the money.
A case has been registered with Villivakkam police. Further
investigation is on.
