Power curbs in some areas
By Our Special Correspondent
THIRUVANANTHAPURAM, NOV. 28. The Electricity Minister, Mr.
Kadavoor Sivadasan, has admitted that curbs on power supply have
been enforced in certain parts of the State.
Replying to a submission by Mr. M. P. M. Ishaq Kurikkal (Muslim
League) in the Assembly today, the Power Minister said the curbs
had become necessary in view of difficulties in lifting the
entire quantity of power generated by the Nation Thermal Power
Corporation (NTPC) at Kayamkulam and BSES in Kochi.
Mr. Sivadasan informed the member that instructions had been
issued to KSEB officials in Malappuram to ensure steady supply of
power in the district during the month of Ramzan.
