Memorial day of Mother observed

PONDICHERRY, NOV. 17. Scores of devotees from different parts of the country paid homage at the samadhis of Sri Aurobindo and the Mother on the occasion of the 28th memorial day of the Mother on the premises of the Aurobindo Ashram here today.

Devotees sat in meditation at the samadhis . They also visited the Mother's room in the Ashram premises.

Among those who observed meditation and paid homage at the samadhis were the Judge of the Karnataka High Court, Mr. Justice I. S. Thakkur, and the Judge of the Madras High Court, Mr. Justice V. N. Sirpurkar.

Special arrangements were made for the convenience of devotees coming in queue into the Ashram premises.

It was on this day in 1973 that the Mother died.
