What the U.S. must do
Sir, - Even two months after the Sept. 11 tragedy, the U.S. has
not been able to catch Osama bin Laden or break his organisation,
the Al-Qaeda. And even if it does, it will not be the end of
terrorism. The world economy is sliding dangerously and a gnawing
uncertainty has paralysed the world. Only a new world order can
secure lasting peace, ensure symmetrical growth in the world and
lay the foundation for a world government.
The U.S. should stop acting like the world policeman and close
down all its military bases abroad.
K. R. Malkani,
New Delhi
