PMC merges with Cong.

PONDICHERRY, OCT. 31.The one-year old Puducherry Makkal Congress,
a breakaway unit of the TMC, today merged with the Congress.
At a press conference held after a general council meeting here,
the founder and former Home Minister, Mr.P.Kannan said the AICC
leader, Mrs. Sonia Gandhi, would visit Pondicherry on November to
address a conference which would formalise the merger.
The merger decision was taken unanimously at the meeting.
It was finalised without expecting anything in return and was
unconditional, he said.
All four PMC legislators, Mr.K Lakshminarayanan, Mr.
R.Radhakrishnan, Mr. A.Elumalai and Mr. P.Rajavelu, were present
at the press conference.
