We desire a dialogue: Pak.
By B. Muralidhar Reddy
ISLAMABAD, OCT. 30 A day after the Prime Minister, Mr. Atal
Behari Vajpayee, announced that he does not have to travel to New
York to meet the Pakistan President, Gen. Pervez Musharraf,
Islamabad maintained that it desired a dialogue with India and
was prepared to continue the Agra process ``anywhere, any time
and at any level''.
The Pakistan Foreign Office spokesman, Mr. Aziz Khan, told
correspondents at a press briefing that Pakistan had expressed a
desire for resolution of all outstanding issues with India
including Kashmir through peaceful dialogue.
``We have extended an invitation to the Indian Prime Minister and
the Foreign Minister to visit Islamabad to continue the process
of dialogue. The invitation for talks is valid for New York as
well,'' he said when asked to respond to the observations made by
Mr. Vajpayee.
