Attacks inevitable
Sir, - The U.S. military attacks on Afghanistan are inevitable.
The Taliban has shown scant respect for international criticism
or sanctions. The destruction of the Bamiyan Buddhas is an
example.
Osama bin Laden's links with the terrorists who carried out the
WTC bombings have been established. Recently, his associates
involved in the bombing of American embassies in Africa have been
convicted.
Osama and his men killed not just American citizens, but people
of other nationalities too. If Osama can strike at America, he
can strike at India too. Or for that matter at the Arab
countries. In the interests of the Afghan people, the Taliban
should be unseated.
