House for a house
Sir, - Addressing the school assembly after we had moved into our
newly-built building of Campion School, Bhopal, our then
principal, Fr. Joe Saldhana S.J., said, ``I had to cut down
hundreds of trees to clear this area for the building. It pained
me a lot, so I resolved to plant two trees for each tree cut
down''. When I visited my school 20 years after passing out, I
found those trees fully grown and flourishing.
Let the U.S. President, Mr. George W. Bush, and other world
leaders resolve that after the war ends, they would build at
least one house for each one they destroyed while bombing
Afghanistan.
