LUCKNOW, OCT. 8. The Press Council of India (PCI) has held police
responsible for a lathicharge on journalists during the Kumbh
Mela in Allahabad earlier this year and recommended stern action
against them.
The two-member fact-finding team of the PCI has recommended
action against policemen, including the Superintendent of Police
(SP), a member of the PCI team said in a statement on Monday.
The PCI has requested the State Chief Secretary to take action
