CM leaves today for Cauvery talks
By Our Special Correspondent
CHENNAI, OCT. 8. The Chief Minister, Mr. O. Paneerselvam, will
leave for Delhi tomorrow to attend a meeting of the Cauvery River
Water Authority convened by the Prime Minister for October 10.
It will be Mr. Paneerselvam's first trip to Delhi after he
assumed charge as Chief Minister. The meeting of the Authority
was earlier scheduled for September 22, but was put off following
the sudden change of guard in the State.
The Chief Minister told the media here that he would impress upon
the Authority to ask Karnataka to release Tamil Nadu's share of
water since June, as per the Cauvery Tribunal's interim award.
