More rock news
THEY DUG into campus rock. And unearthed a whole world
`Underground'. When the curtains went down for the Live 1o1 show
on Friday, there was enough evidence of the talent that had been
untapped until then.
To cut the long story of the month long rock-fest short, here are
the winners: Brothers in Arms from MCC were crowned the Last Band
Standing. The other two bands that made it to the final were
Anorexia and Orion's Dream.
Pemma Tsering (Brothers in Arms) won the Best Vocalist Award
while Joshua and Aubrey (both from Paradox) won the prizes for
the best lead and bass guitarists. Divyan (Brothers in Arms) won
the Best Drummer and Nisha (Deep Waters) took home the prize for
the Best Keyboardist.
Flat Response won the prize for the Best Live 1o1 own comp while
Blitz and Wild Card shared honours for the Best Crowd response.
Anorexia was awarded the prize for the Band with the most Pro
set-up and Krooners won the prize for the Best `Acapella' Act.
Building up the crescendo of the fest before its culmination was
Molotov Cocktail. Coming up on Friday at the Live 1o1 show is
Australian based band `Formaldehyde'. For more details, call
