Transport Secretary transferred

PONDICHERRY, OCT. 1. The Transport Secretary, Mr. S. Hemachandran, on promotion to super time scale of `IAS', has been relieved from Pondicherry Administration and transferred to the Andaman and Nicobar Islands, a communication from the Joint Secretary to Pondicherry Administration, Mr. G. Theva neethi Dhas, said here.

Consequently, the Lt. Governor ordered distribution of departments as under among the Secretaries to the Government - Mrs. M. Sathiavathi, Secretary to Education and Welfare, is appointed Secretary (Transport) in addition to the charges already held by her. Dr. (Mrs) Satbir Silas, Secretary to Community Development, is appointed Secretary to Labour in addition to charges already held by her. Mr. Prashant Goyal, Secretary to Animal Husbandry and Fisheries, will look after Stationery and Printing, besides the charges already held by him.
