Curfew withdrawn
PATNA, SEPT. 29. The Muzaffarpur district administration today
withdrew the curfew completely which was clamped on Wednesday in
the wake of violence following the recovery of the mutilated body
of a boy.
Police claimed that the situation has since normalised with no
untoward incident being reported during the last two days. The
situation had deteriorated on Wednesday when people resorted to
arson attacking government buildings and vehicles. The subsequent
police firing claimed seven lives. Train movements, however, have
not been fully restored on various sections of the Samastipur
Division.
