The week ahead
A HIGH degree of astrological activity characterises this week,
starting when Mercury turns retrograde in Libra on Monday at
19:18 GMT just hours after Venus squares Pluto at 16:12 GMT.
Then, the Harvest Moon occurs on Tuesday at 13:50 GMT. This is
the Full Moon that appears to rise closest to the eastern
horizon. Venus then squares Saturn on Wednesday at 6:54 GMT while
Mars opposes Jupiter on Wednesday at 17:09 GMT. Finally, the Sun
squares Jupiter on Sunday at 8:08 GMT. This high degree of
celestial activity will cause an increase in frenetic activity on
planet Earth. Make sure to carefully consider important decisions
from all angles this week.

Queries Answered
What planetary combinations indicate chances of one's becoming an
expert Astrologer?
S. Venkatesan, Chennai-17.
OF a number of combinations, let us look at some major ones.
Mercury in a Kendra and Venus in exaltation is excellent, and
will bring success and fame. A natural benefit in the third from
Lagna, free from any evil aspect, will help. The Lord of the
second house in exaltation, and Venus placed in an Ubhaya Rasi,
make good augury. If the Lagna is in a common sign, the lagna
lord well placed, and Jupiter too is powerful, the native can
shine lustrously. The potential of such combinations,
strengthened by the practitioner devoting himself with zest and
zeal to his tasks, being an ardent Upasaka of a suitable deity,
and above all, practising Dharma, will help one to succeed as an
astrologer in truthful service to grateful society.
