Two phone exchanges commissioned

CHENNAI, SEPT. 29. Two telephone exchanges were commissioned on
Friday - one at Walltax Road (code 529) with a capacity of 8,000
lines, and the other at Vallalar Nagar (code 520) with a capacity
of 5,500 lines.
The new Walltax Road 5 ESS RSU exchange will cover Sowcarpet,
Elephant Gate and parts of the Flower Bazaar and Waltax Road
areas. The Vallalar Nagar OCB RSU exchange will cover part of
South Washermanpet, part of Waltax Road and T.H. Road, and the
adjoining areas.
For the Walltax Road exchange, the special help desk number is
5290000 and the fault booking number is 5291191, while for the
Vallalar Nagar exchange, the numbers are 5200000 and 5201191.
