By Shujaat Bukhari
SRINAGAR SEPT. 29. At least 12 persons were killed when a fire
broke out in a hotel in Sopore town of north Kashmir late last
night. Nine bodies have been recovered from the debris till
reports last came in. The fire, which spread to nearby buildings,
gutted 30 shops and 18 godowns.
As the cooking gas cylinders in the hotel exploded, inmates
apprehended an encounter and did not come out, resulting in the
instant death of many persons.
