Chandrika speaks to PM

NEW DELHI, SEPT. 29. India and Sri Lanka today exchanged notes on
the fall-out of the terrorist attacks in the U.S. and emphasised
the need for keeping in regular touch.
In a telephone conversation between the Sri Lankan President, Ms.
Chandrika Kumaratunga, and the Prime Minister, Mr. Atal Behari
Vajpayee, both leaders discussed the developments in the region,
following the September 11 attacks in the U.S. They agreed it was
necessary for leaders in the region to stay in touch on these
matters, a statement of the Ministry of External Affairs said.
