30 injured inTrinamool-CPI(M) clash

MIDNAPORE, SEPT. 20. Thirty people were seriously injured after supporters of the Trinamool Congress and the CPI(M) clashed at Daspur in West Bengal's Midnapore district today.

The incident took place when some CPI(M) activists allegedly attacked supporters of Trinamool Congress, who were staging a street corner meeting in protest against `deteriorating' law and order situation in the State. The wounded Trinamool supporters were admitted to hospitals. Two CPI(M) supporters have been arrested.
