Four tribals die in Orissa

BHUBANESWAR, SEPT. 15. Close on the heels of 21 tribal deaths in Kashipur block of Rayagada district, four children died in a village under Mohana block of Gajapati district.

A report said the children belonging to a tribal family in Sapalaguda village died on Thursday allegedly after consuming mango kernel. Three other members of the family were hospitalised. The district's chief medical officer confirmed the deaths but neither confirmed nor denied whether they died after consuming the kernel as had happened in Kashipur. The district administration has rushed a medical team to ascertain the cause of death.
