Four tribals die in Orissa
BHUBANESWAR, SEPT. 15. Close on the heels of 21 tribal deaths in
Kashipur block of Rayagada district, four children died in a
village under Mohana block of Gajapati district.
A report said the children belonging to a tribal family in
Sapalaguda village died on Thursday allegedly after consuming
mango kernel. Three other members of the family were
hospitalised. The district's chief medical officer confirmed the
deaths but neither confirmed nor denied whether they died after
consuming the kernel as had happened in Kashipur. The district
administration has rushed a medical team to ascertain the cause
of death.
